چکیده

Statistical information about measurement errors is incorporated in an algorithm that reconstructs the image of an object from x-ray diffraction data. The distribution function of measurement errors is included directly into reconstruction processes using a statistically based amplitude constraint. The algorithm is tested using simulated and experimental data and is shown to yield high-quality reconstructions in the presence of noise. This approach can be generalized to incorporate experimentally determined measurement error functions into image reconstruction algorithms. 4 Author to whom any correspondence should be addressed. 5 Current address: SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, 2575 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. Experimental verification of coherent diffractive imaging by a direct phase retrieval method with an aperture-array filter.

Recently, we have proposed a coherent diffractive imaging using a noniterative phase retrieval method with the filter of an aperture array. The first (to our knowledge) experimental demonstration of this coherent imaging is presented here, in which a complex-valued object illuminated by a diode laser is reconstructed from the isolated diffraction intensities of the object's wave field, transmit...

Diffractive imaging based on a multipinhole plate.

We report on a noniterative method for coherent diffractive imaging based on a specially designed multipinhole (MP) plate. We demonstrated that the complex amplitude of the wavefront penetrating through an MP plate inserted between the specimen and the detector plane can be directly extracted from the Fourier transform of a single far-field diffraction intensity pattern without need of any iter...

Hard X-ray polarizer to enable simultaneous three-dimensional nanoscale imaging of magnetic structure and lattice strain

Recent progress in the development of dichroic Bragg coherent diffractive imaging, a new technique for simultaneous three-dimensional imaging of strain and magnetization at the nanoscale, is reported. This progress includes the installation of a diamond X-ray phase retarder at beamline 34-ID-C of the Advanced Photon Source. The performance of the phase retarder for tuning X-ray polarization is ...

Dynamic diffraction artefacts in Bragg coherent diffractive imaging

This article reports a theoretical study on the reconstruction artefacts in Bragg coherent diffractive imaging caused by dynamical diffraction effects. It is shown that, unlike the absorption and refraction effects that can be corrected after reconstruction, dynamical diffraction effects have profound impacts on both the amplitude and the phase of the reconstructed complex object, causing stron...

Coherent Diffractive Imaging Using Randomly Coded Masks

Coherent diffractive imaging (CDI) provides new opportunities for high resolution X-ray imaging with simultaneous amplitude and phase contrast. Extensions to CDI broaden the scope of the technique for use in a wide variety of experimental geometries and physical systems. Here, we experimentally demonstrate a new extension to CDI that encodes additional information through the use of a series of...
